I am so sorry for slacking on posts. I just haven’t had the energy or attention span lately!
Okay, as promised, here’s my vacation and packing update!
So, my friends and I went to Maine for the long weekend and this is what I brought along:
To be honest, I think I packed more for this trip than I needed. I have yet to master minimal packing for beach trips! Here’s an itemized list of what I brought with me for 5 days on the Maine coast (including notes on what I didn’t end up wearing/using!)
1 pair of flats (dancing was planned, but we didn’t get to it! Wound up not needing them)
1 pair of sneakers (didn’t wear these once, despite that we walked all over the place!)
1 pair of boat shoes
1 pair of flip flops
4 casual shirts (only wore two of them!)
2 tanks (1 dressy, 1 casual)
Necessary under garments
Small over-the-shoulder bag
7 pairs of socks (only used 4)
Sunscreen, shampoo and other toiletries
Some books for the beach

It was a lot of fun, but I definitely could have packed less. Lesson learned. I also bought more clothing while I was up there because I made the mistake of not keeping many fall items the last time I cleaned out my closet. Rookie mistake.
In other news, TODAY WAS DONUT DAY. It’s been a while since I’ve treated myself to that! But the fall flavors are out now and I couldn’t help myself!
I’ve been going to zumba 3 or 4 times a week for the last month or so and I am LOVING IT. I have already lost 5 lbs! This Apple Cider donut probably didn’t help with my weight loss goals, but it was worth it!
What else has been going on… I am EAGER to make the jump in careers from Finance to Human Services. Only a matter of time now. Please cross your fingers for me.
I’ve done a lot of growing, mentally, this last month. It has been 3 months now, since that breakup I went through and I am now just starting to realize that’s I’ll truly be OKAY. It’s a refreshing feeling and it get’s me really excited for the future.
